AN ACT PERMITTING EMPLOYERS TO PURCHASE INDEMNITY INSURANCE POLICIES TO SATISFY COLLATERAL OBLIGATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to permit employers in this state to purchase an indemnity insurance policy in lieu of posting a letter of credit to satisfy collateral obligations, including, but not limited to, workers' compensation and self-insurance obligations.
Statement of Purpose:
To permit employers in this state to purchase an indemnity insurance policy in lieu of posting a letter of credit to satisfy collateral obligations, including, but not limited to, workers' compensation and self-insurance obligations.
