AN ACT CONCERNING MONTHLY APPEARANCES AT THE UNEMPLOYMENT OFFICE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require individuals who currently receive unemployment benefits to appear in person, not less than once per month, at a state unemployment office in order to access unemployment benefits.

Statement of Purpose: 

To prevent fraud in Connecticut's unemployment compensation system.
