AN ACT CONCERNING VISIBLE TATTOOS ON STATE POLICE APPLICANTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 529 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection from denying employment as a state police officer to any applicant based solely on the applicant's visible tattoo.

Statement of Purpose: 

To prohibit the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection from disqualifying state police applicants on the basis of visible tattoos.
