AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL AUTOMATED TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT SAFETY DEVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 248 of the general statutes be amended to permit a municipality to institute a red light camera program, establish fines and authorize the assessment of other fees, direct fine revenues to municipal budgets and establish a mandatory hearings process.
Statement of Purpose:
To authorize any municipality to implement an automated traffic enforcement safety device program.
