AN ACT CONCERNING TAX RELIEF ZONES AROUND AIRPORTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish tax relief zones around each airport, so homeowners who live within the zones may receive property tax relief. The tax relief zones would be overseen by a commission composed of elected officials or their designees.
Statement of Purpose:
To compensate homeowners who are impacted by noise and traffic due to their proximity to the airport.
