AN ACT CONCERNING A MUNICIPAL OPTION TO PROVIDE PROPERTY TAX CREDITS FOR PROPERTY IN ACTIVE ADULT COMMUNITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) allow municipalities to provide property tax credits for real property located in active adult communities, and (2) define such "active adult community" as a development of age restricted, private residential dwellings, as defined by local ordinance.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide municipalities with the option to offer property tax credits to owners of residential real property located within active adult communities.
