AN ACT MODIFYING THE PROCESS FOR CREATING PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 55d of the general statutes be amended to (1) create a public-private partnership commission, (2) require approval by the commission, rather than the Governor, for projects, (3) remove the restrictions on the number of projects permitted, and (4) give priority to financially self-sufficient projects that do not require state funding.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage the formation of public-private partnerships.
