AN ACT EXPANDING USE OF ABSENTEE BALLOTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subdivision (2) of subsection (a) of section 9-135 of the general statutes be amended to permit an elector to vote by absentee ballot if such elector is absent from the town of his or her voting residence at any time during which the polls are open.
Statement of Purpose:
To make absentee ballots more available for use.
