AN ACT CONCERNING THE DETERMINATION OF THE NUMBER OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING UNITS IN A MUNICIPALITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 8-30g of the general statutes be amended to include low-cost housing units as affordable housing for purposes of calculating the threshold number of affordable housing units required for a municipality to qualify for exemption from the affordable housing land use appeals procedure, provided such low-cost housing does not account for less than fifteen per cent of the housing in such municipality.
Statement of Purpose:
To include low-cost housing units as affordable housing.
