AN ACT REQUIRING A BOND WITH RESPECT TO THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING LAND USE APPEALS PROCESS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 8-30g of the general statutes be amended to require the developer of any affordable housing development to provide the municipality where the proposed development is located with a two- hundred-fifty-thousand dollar bond whenever such developer invokes the affordable housing land use appeals process, provided that if such developer fails to proceed with the affordable housing development, the bond is forfeited to the municipality.
Statement of Purpose:
To improve the functionality of the affordable housing land use appeals process.
