2626 AN ACT CONCERNING MANDATORY REPORTING OF CERTAIN INFORMATION BY JUDGES OF THE SUPERIOR COURT.

2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

3030 That chapter 870 of the general statutes be amended to provide that: (1) A judge of the Superior Court, shall report any occurrence of the following events to the Judicial Branch not later than five days after the date of the occurrence of the event: (A) A motion to recuse a judge from a matter is filed, (B) a judicial grievance is filed against a judge, (C) a judge orders an individual removed from a courtroom, and (D) a judge orders incarceration, or threatens incarceration, of an individual in a noncriminal matter; and (2) the Judicial Branch shall promptly post the information described in subdivision (1) of this section on its Internet web site.
