AN ACT STUDYING THE FEASIBILITY OF CREATING A SPECIAL POPULATION WITHIN PRISONS TO HELP PRISONERS SUFFERING FROM DRUG ABUSE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That there be a study of the feasibility of creating a special population within prisons for prisoners suffering from drug abuse, including a review of what other states have done and how such practices could work in Connecticut prisons.

Statement of Purpose: 

To study the feasibility of creating a special population within prisons to help prisoners suffering from drug abuse.
