AN ACT CONCERNING SELF-REPRESENTED PARTIES IN FAMILY COURT MATTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 815j of the general statutes be amended to provide that the Chief Court Administrator shall establish clearly defined procedures and timetables in family court matters involving self-represented parties in order to ensure resolution of underlying matters within a reasonable time frame.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that self-represented parties in family court matters receive fair and equitable treatment.
