AN ACT CONCERNING PROPERTY THAT IS EXEMPT FROM THE EXECUTION OF A JUDGMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (t) of section 52-352b of the general statutes be amended to provide that the following property shall be exempt from an execution of judgment: (1) The homestead to the value of ninety-eight thousand dollars, or (2) in the case of a money judgment arising out of services provided at a hospital, such judgment to the value of one hundred sixty-three thousand three hundred dollars.
Statement of Purpose:
To adjust the homestead exemption and the money judgment for services provided at a hospital exemption to reflect inflationary increases that have occurred since 2003.
