AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONNECTICUT PRACTICE BOOK.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That: (1) Section 51-216a of the general statutes be amended to require the Commission on Official Legal Publications to annually provide all members of the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the judiciary with a copy of the Connecticut Practice Book, and (2) section 51-14 of the general statutes be amended to provided that any change to the Connecticut Practice Book shall be reviewed and approved by the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the judiciary prior to taking effect.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that: (1) All members of the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the judiciary are provided with a copy of the Connecticut Practice Book, and (2) such members review and approve all proposed changes to the Connecticut Practice Book.
