AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF VIDEO CAMERAS IN FAMILY COURT PROCEEDINGS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 815j of the general statutes be amended to require the Judicial Branch to videotape all family relations matters except those proceedings that are closed to the public because of allegations of sexual abuse of children. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To require videotaping of most family court proceedings.
