AN ACT CONCERNING A TENANT'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR STORAGE OF POSSESSIONS UPON BEING EVICTED.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 832 of the general statutes be amended to require a tenant who has been evicted from leased premises to assume responsibility for any storage costs incurred following the removal of the tenant's personal possessions from the leased premises.
Statement of Purpose:
To relieve municipal and private landlords from the responsibility of transporting and storing an evicted tenant's possessions.
