AN ACT CONCERNING COURT ORDERS RELATING TO A PARENT'S OBLIGATION FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF A CHILD WHO IS ENROLLED IN AN INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 46b-56c and 46b-84 of the general statutes be amended to require a court to consider and review the disparity of income between parents when entering an order that such parents provide financial support to a child who is enrolled in an institution of higher education.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that a court thoroughly considers and reviews any disparity in income between parents when entering an order that such parents provide financial support to a child who is enrolled in an institution of higher education.
