AN ACT CONCERNING PARENTS AND GUARDIANS OF CRIME VICTIMS AND UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to allow a parent or guardian, who must leave a job to take care of a child who is a victim of a crime, to receive unemployment benefits during the period when they are unable to work.

Statement of Purpose: 

To allow parents or guardians of crime victims to collect unemployment benefits when caring for their child.
