AN ACT CONCERNING EMPLOYEE PRIVACY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to protect employee privacy by barring employers or potential employers from requesting or requiring employees or potential employees to provide passwords or user names to their personal online accounts as a condition of employment.

Statement of Purpose: 

To protect privacy by barring employers or potential employers from requiring employees or potential employees to provide passwords or user names to their personal accounts as a condition of employment.
