AN ACT CONCERNING THE INCLUSION OF THE UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP TEST AS PART OF THE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-221a of the general statutes be amended to require that no local or regional board of education shall permit any student to graduate from high school or grant a diploma to any student who has not satisfactorily completed the United States citizenship test.
Statement of Purpose:
To enhance the teaching and learning of history and civics in schools.
