AN ACT CONCERNING STANDARDS FOR TELEMEDICINE SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to develop standards for telemedicine to include requirements for (1) two-way electronic audio and visual communication, (2) secure video conferencing, (3) secure technology for the transfer and storage of data, and (4) the primary physician to have personally seen the patient and to be licensed and practicing in the state.
Statement of Purpose:
To remove barriers to health care through the appropriate use of technology by establishing standards for telemedicine.
