AN ACT CONCERNING RECOVERY HIGH SCHOOLS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 164 of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Education to conduct a survey of substance abuse recovery high school programs in other states and determine the extent of need for recovery high schools in the state.

Statement of Purpose: 

To consider introducing recovery high schools in Connecticut for the purpose of educating students recovering from substance abuse.
