AN ACT REQUIRING ACTUAL COST INFORMATION BE INCLUDED IN SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT APPLICATIONS AND CONDITION ASSESSMENTS FOR SCHOOL BUILDINGS IN THE STATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 173 of the general statutes be amended to require a school district to include, as part of its school building project application, information about the actual cost of the school building project and to require the Department of Administrative Services to conduct a condition assessment of all school buildings in the state.
Statement of Purpose:
To improve the school construction process.
