AN ACT LIMITING CERTAIN STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE ORGANIZATION EXPENDITURES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to limit any state central committee organization expenditure for a general election campaign to (1) two hundred fifty thousand dollars on behalf of any candidate for the office of Governor, and (2) seventy-five thousand dollars on behalf of any candidate for other state-wide office; provided such limit shall apply only to organization expenditures on behalf of a candidate participating in the Citizens' Election Program.
Statement of Purpose:
To restrict certain expenditures by state central committees on behalf of candidates participating in the Citizens' Election Program.
