AN ACT CONCERNING FEDERAL ACCOUNTS OF STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 155 of the general statutes be amended to (1) prohibit any contribution or expenditure made from a federal account of a state central committee to a candidate seeking state or local office, and (2) levy a civil penalty on any such contribution or expenditure not greater than triple the amount of such contribution or expenditure.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit and penalize certain contributions or expenditures made by federal accounts of state central committees.
