AN ACT CONCERNING STUDENT INTERNSHIPS AND THE LIABILITY OF SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to clarify that the liability arising from a student's experiential learning activity through an out-of-school internship shall be with the school district.
Statement of Purpose:
To expand internship opportunities for students by clarifying that internship providers will not incur additional liability as a result of providing internship opportunities to students.
