3030 AN ACT REDUCING THE COST OF MAGNET SCHOOL TUITION FOR CERTAIN SCHOOL DISTRICTS.

3232 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

3434 That section 10-264l of the general statutes be amended to permit any local or regional board of education located in the Sheff region, as defined in subsection (k) of section 10-264l of the general statutes, except for the Hartford school district, that has greater than five per cent of its resident students, as defined in section 10-262f of the general statutes, enrolled in an interdistrict magnet school program to not be financially responsible for the portion of the per student tuition charged in excess of such five per cent and that the Department of Education shall be financially responsible for such excess per student tuition.
