AN ACT CONCERNING INCENTIVES FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED YOUNG ADULTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 8-30g of the general statutes be amended to provide that, for purposes of determining whether a municipality qualifies for a certificate of affordable housing project completion, housing units restricted to developmentally disabled young adults shall be awarded one housing unit-equivalent point.

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide towns with an incentive to develop affordable housing for developmentally disabled young adults.
