2424 AN ACT CONCERNING DISBURSEMENTS FROM THE TOBACCO SETTLEMENT FUND AND MONEYS RECEIVED FROM TOBACCO TAXES.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 That section 4-28e of the general statutes be amended to require thirty-three per cent of the total amount on deposit in the Tobacco Settlement Fund and the amount received by the state from taxes on tobacco products be disbursed to programs that (1) relate to tobacco education, prevention and cessation, (2) promote pulmonary health, (3) reduce the incidents of asthma, and (4) expand access to health care for uninsured persons.
