AN ACT CONCERNING JOB GROWTH AND EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Department of Economic and Community Development, in collaboration with the Department of Education, the Board of Regents for Higher Education and The University of Connecticut, shall conduct a study relating to workforce demands in the state and appropriate training to meet such demands. Not later than January 1, 2016, the department shall submit a report of the results of such study to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to commerce, education and higher education, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
