AN ACT ESTABLISHING A PILOT PROGRAM ALLOWING STUDENTS IN A BACHELOR DEGREE PROGRAM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT, TORRINGTON CAMPUS TO ENTER A LOTTERY FOR TUITION REDUCTION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to establish a pilot program pursuant to which students who have registered and been accepted for matriculation in a course of study leading to a bachelor degree at The University of Connecticut, Torrington campus, may enter a lottery where the winning prize for not less than one hundred students who enter such lottery is a fifty per cent reduction in the cost of tuition at said university.

Statement of Purpose: 

To create a pilot program to increase enrollment of students matriculating in a bachelor degree program at The University of Connecticut, Torrington campus.
