AN ACT CONCERNING THE INCLUSION OF MEDIA LITERACY SKILLS INSTRUCTION IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOL CURRICULUM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (d) of section 10-16b of the general statutes be amended to require the State Board of Education to encourage local and regional boards of education to offer media literacy as part of the program of instruction offered in the public school curriculum.
Statement of Purpose:
To offer media literacy instruction in the public schools.
