AN ACT PROHIBITING RETAIL BUSINESSES FROM SCANNING OR COPYING CONSUMERS' DRIVER'S LICENSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit retail businesses from scanning or copying consumers' driver's licenses at the time of a business transaction.
Statement of Purpose:
To minimize risk of identity theft and protect the privacy of consumers.
