AN ACT CONCERNING WORK AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS FOR PUBLIC ASSISTANCE RECIPIENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require all able-bodied adults eighteen to sixty years of age who receive food stamps and other public assistance to accept any offer of suitable employment or take part in any training program to which they are referred.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require persons who receive public assistance to accept suitable employment or undertake certain training programs.
