AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR THE AUDITORS OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That funding for the Auditors of Public Accounts be increased in an amount sufficient to add five positions for the purpose of reestablishing the Performance Audit Unit.
Statement of Purpose:
To improve fiscal accountability and efficiency through regular performance audits designed to assess whether state agencies are operating efficiently and effectively and whether state programs are achieving their intended goals.
