AN ACT PROTECTING THE FINANCIAL INFORMATION OF DONORS TO POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 155 of the general statutes be amended to require that each committee, as defined in section 9-601 of the general statutes, encrypt the personal financial data, including credit card information, of any person making a contribution to such committee.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the financial information of those donating to political campaigns.
