AN ACT ALTERING THE CURRENT PREVAILING WAGE THRESHOLDS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 31-53 of the general statutes be amended to raise the threshold at which public works projects must abide by the prevailing wage laws to two million dollars for new construction as well as any remodeling, refinishing, refurbishing, rehabilitation, alteration or repair work.

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide tax relief by increasing the threshold for prevailing wage.
