AN ACT CONCERNING DUAL EMPLOYMENT AND UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION ELIGIBILITY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 31-236 of the general statutes be amended to enable an individual working two jobs to remain eligible for unemployment compensation benefits if the individual voluntarily leaves a part-time job and is subsequently let go from his or her full-time position.

Statement of Purpose: 

To enable an individual who voluntarily leaves a part-time job to remain eligible for unemployment compensation if the individual is subsequently released from his or her full-time position.
