AN ACT REQUIRING LEGISLATIVE REVIEW OF NEW COSTS IMPOSED ON MUNICIPALITIES BY STATE AGENCIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the legislative regulation review committee to review and approve any state agency change in policy or practice that results in an increased cost to or unfunded state mandate on a municipality.
Statement of Purpose:
To require legislative review of state agency decisions that have financial impacts on towns.
