AN ACT CONCERNING THE REDUCTION OF THE EXCESS COST THRESHOLD FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION COSTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (b) of section 10-76g of the general statutes be amended to reduce the reimbursement threshold for special education costs from four and one-half times the average per pupil cost to three and one-half times the average per pupil cost.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide local tax relief by easing the cost of special education borne by local school districts.
