2828 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

3030 That the general statutes be amended to establish a Bipartisan Senate Committee on Ethics and a Bipartisan House Committee on Ethics that shall have the authority (1) to investigate any alleged illegal or unethical conduct by any member of the Senate, in the case of the Senate committee, or of the House, in the case of the House committee, and (2) to recommend sanctions when appropriate, including, but not limited to, the expulsion, censure or reprimand of any such member who is found to have engaged in misconduct.
