AN ACT CONCERNING THE TRANSFER OF MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR CHILDREN TO THE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17a of the general statutes be amended to transfer jurisdiction over mental health services for children from the Department of Children and Families to the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Statement of Purpose:
To improve the quality and continuity of mental health services for children by giving jurisdiction over such services to the state's lead mental health agency.
