AN ACT PROVIDING STATE FUNDING FOR CERTAIN CENTRAL CONNECTICUT INITIATIVES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the sum of one million four hundred thousand dollars be appropriated to the Department of Economic and Community Development, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, for the following grants: (1) One million dollars to the Hartford Economic Development Corporation to recapitalize the Central Connecticut Revolving Loan Fund, (2) two hundred fifty thousand dollars to the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce for marketing, branding and tourism development, and (3) one hundred fifty thousand dollars to the Bristol Business Education Foundation for the Adult Diploma and Certificate program for adult education and workforce training.

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide funding for certain central Connecticut initiatives.
