AN ACT REMOVING THE CONNECTICUT ARTS COUNCIL FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 10-408a and 10-408b of the general statutes be amended to make the Connecticut Arts Council an independent entity separate from the Department of Economic and Community Development.
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate the Department of Economic and Community Development's control over the Connecticut Arts Council.
