28 | 28 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: | |

30 | 30 | That subsection (d) of section 10-262i of the general statutes be amended to (1) remove special education costs from the calculation of a town's minimum budget requirements, (2) repeal the limit that a school district may reduce its budgeted appropriation for education in an amount not to exceed one-half of one per cent of the district's budgeted appropriation for education when a district experiences a decline in the number of resident students, and (3) increase the multiplier from three thousand to six thousand in the calculation allowing a town to reduce its budgeted appropriation for education when the number of resident students of such town decreases. | |
