AN ACT ELIMINATING THE GIFT AND ESTATE TAX.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) eliminate the gift tax, and (2) eliminate the estate tax over a five-year period at a rate of twenty per cent each year.
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate the gift tax and phase out the estate tax.
