AN ACT PROTECTING THE HOMES OF SENIOR CITIZENS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 12 of the general statutes be amended to prevent senior citizens from losing their homes to tax foreclosures unless the tax lien amount exceeds five per cent of the value of the home.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect senior citizens vulnerable to losing their homes because of a tax delinquency.
