AN ACT REDUCING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE TO GROWING FAMILIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 17b-112 of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Social Services, to the extent permissible under federal law, to reduce temporary family assistance per child when a person receiving such assistance has additional children.

Statement of Purpose: 

To reduce state costs when a recipient of temporary family assistance has additional children.
