28 | 28 | That the Legislative Program Review and Investigation Committee (1) study fire safety issues including, but not limited to, (A) general compliance with the annual inspection requirement in subsection (b) of section 29-305 of the general statutes, (B) variations in compliance and timeliness of such inspections among municipalities, (C) whether the failure to conduct timely inspections contributed to any serious fire or fire involving a fatality, and (D) factors that prevent the completion of such inspections, and (2) make recommendations to improve enforcement of the Fire Safety Code and assist local fire marshals in meeting their inspection obligations. | |
